Site Hints:
- Newcomers to the internet should note that the hyperlinks - words that link to other pages - are a different color from the regular text and are underlined. They will change color as you move your mouse over them. To open the page, just click the word.
- The menu on the left will expand (when you click a button) to show direct links to the pages. The top button on the menu toggles all the menu items open and closed when clicked on the right side. Click the left side and a search box will open that you can use to search for words contained in the menu.
- The dragon graphic in the top left corner will bring you 'home' (back to this page) when clicked.
- A page to help the newcomers to chat has been added to the Miscellaneous Section of the tutorial. It contains a list of some of the common abbreviations and terms used in chat. Most of the abbreviations are the same as used in texting, so cellphone users will quickly feel at home.
Useful Features:
- Yahoo discontinued the goto command to allow you to go to any user, but YahELite allows you to use your status message to advertise the room you are in, making it easy for your friends to join you. Only people who have you on their friend's list will be able to see it. If a friend is displaying the room they are in, you can click their status notification to join their room. Learn all about it on the GoTo tutorial page.
- Moving from room to room is easy and can be accomplished in many ways. For those who prefer to type instead of clicking the room button, you can use the /join room command. Learn how on the Join Room tutorial page

Jigsaw Puzzles:
- Each picture contained in the gallery can be transformed into a jigsaw puzzle!
- Go to the Gallery , select an album and then choose a picture.
- After the picture opens, you will see the word Jigsaw with numbers after it. Click one of the numbers to open the jigsaw puzzle in a new window. The lower the number the easier the puzzle will be.
- Please note that if you are using an old version of Internet Explorer (Seven or older) please upgrade your browser or use a browser such as Firefox, Chrome or Safari.
- On the right side of the window where one enters their log in information, there is a button to "See the Tag Cloud". When you click it, you can enter a few words, then submit the words to see what other users have entered. It is a fun diversion on a rainy day.
- For those wondering what folding@home project is: Folding at home is a Stanford University distributed computing project that is doing research on how proteins behave. By downloading and running the software, you will be aiding research on cancer, brain disorders such as Alzheimers and Huntingtons and a myriad of other things. Best of all one does not have to understand all the science behind the research to feel good about helping in the search for a cure to many devistating diseases. Everyone is invited to join the YahELite folding at home team or the software can be downloaded and points tabulated without a team affiliation. It can even be run anonymously! More information and links to the project are located at www.yahelite.org/fah.
